Vandyke and Apple Leaf

I **love** leaves! This 1871 stitch pattern is from Mrs. George (Anne Jane) Cupples, published in Edinburgh, Scotland. The pattern has 20 rows with a multiple of 20 stitches. 6 rows are “purl across” and the other 4 wrong-side rows have just one knit stitch in the middle of the repeat. Add edge stitches, if preferred. I added edge stitches but didn’t include them in the pattern to avoid nested parentheses. This pattern can be worked as a single column or as a panel of repeats. Skills needed: cast on, knit, purl, YO, k2tog, SK2P and bind off. Gauge is **not** important in this pattern. Any block-able yarn/thread will work. Make a swatch to check gauge and appearance.
