Chevrona explores the chevron’s association with mid-century modernism’s fascination with movement and forward momentum. Repeated across the knitted fabric, the directional motif creates a sense of energy and movement, shifting as it travels around the Hat. Each Hat in the Iterations collection is knitted bottom-up and in the round. The ideal yarn for these Hats is 4-ply or light sportweight, in a multi-plied fibre with some natural give, such as merino. This pattern is available individually, or as part of the Iterations collection eBook. **Hat Description** Chevrona is a stranded colourwork Hat worked from the bottom up in two colours. The colours are equally weighted in the pattern, using two-stitch and two-row patterning. The Hat starts with a corrugated rib brim that’s finished with a lateral braid. The body pattern features a chevron pattern, which undulates and repeats vertically all the way around, creating a striking graphic effect.
