Hooded Infinity Scarf

About the design A cozy hooded infinity scarf worked in the round for the cowl, then back and forth to form the hood. Alternating front-post and back-post double crochet creates the thick, ribbed texture. Materials & sizing Yarn: Tweed yarn (use enough to complete the cowl and hood) Hook: Use a hook appropriate for your yarn and preferred drape Size: One size, made to fit the designer. The hood is worked until it comfortably fits over your head. Gauge: Not specified; fit is determined as you work. Abbreviations - US terms ch - chain sl st - slip stitch sc - single crochet dc - double crochet FPdc - front post double crochet BPdc - back post double crochet Pattern Cowl / Infinity Scarf 1. Ch 130. Join with a sl st to the first ch to form a ring, taking care not to twist the chain. 2. Dc around. 3. Alternate FPdc and BPdc around. 4. Continue the alternating FPdc/BPdc texture for 6 rounds. Hood 5. Dc across 60 sts. From this point, work the hood back and forth rather than continuing around the entire cowl. 6. Across those 60 sts, alternate FPdc and BPdc. 7. Continue working the hood section back and forth in the established texture until it fits comfortably over your head. 8. Fold the hood so the top edges meet. Sl st along the top/middle seam to close the hood. 9. Sc evenly around the outer hood opening. 10. Fasten off and weave in ends.
