The shoulders are shaped using German Short Rows with double stitches for a refined fit. At the underarms, all pieces are joined and the body is worked in the round. Optional horizontal bust darts can be included (instructions available in the pattern), and two different shaping options are provided to choose from. The transition from the upper section to the flared lower body is shaped gradually. The body is finished with a round of wrapped dropped stitches and an I-cord bind-off. Finally, stitches are picked up around the armholes to work the sleeves in the round without additional shaping.
