As you knit from one narrow tip to the other with gradual increases and decreases, your stitches will flow through traveling cables and eyelets. This uncommon mesh lace is combined with a series of two-stitch and three-stitch cables. This shape and construction of the scarf attract me because it could be worn so many ways: tucked or tied around your neck, draped over your shoulders, or even wrapped around your head as a kerchief. **Materials** **YARN** Blue Sky Fibers *Organic Cotton Sport* (100% certified organic cotton; 136 yd [124 m]/13/4 oz [50 g]; sportweight): #236 Jasper, 2 skeins (*see Note). **NEEDLES** Size 4 (3.5 mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge. **NOTIONS** Markers (m); cable needle (cn); tapestry needle. **GAUGE** 21 sts and 26 rows = 4" (10 cm) in Mesh patt. **FINISHED SIZE** 72" (183 cm) long and 10" (25.5 cm) wide at center point. *Note:* Nadia used all of two skeins of yarn for the scarflette shown. Consider purchasing an extra skein as insurance.
