**A is for Adventure | Storybook Alphabet**
A is for Adventure is the first design in the Storybook Alphabet Collection: a bold two-colour mosaic overlay crochet blanket combining detailed imagery with the timeless appeal of an alphabet-inspired series.
Worked using one colour per row, the design gradually emerges through the rhythmic combination of Back Loop Single Crochet and Front Loop Double Crochet stitches.
The finished blanket makes a lovely statement throw, keepsake or gift and is suitable for crocheters who are comfortable with, or ready to explore, mosaic overlay crochet.

The design is created using:
Back Loop Single Crochet
Front Loop Double Crochet worked two rows below
Border stitches worked through both loops where indicated
For the clearest finished image, choose two yarn colours with a strong contrast.

The blanket can be finished using tassels, a hidden-tail method or an envelope border. Full instructions for these finishing methods are available separately in The Pattern Scribe [Borders & Finishing Guide.][1]
