I like to think of this pattern as a combination between granny square and mandala. The result is a beautiful, lacy style placemat, which can of course be used in any season despite the Summertime Placemat name! Beginner to Intermediate difficulty level Placemat size: 12"x17.5" (30.5cm x 44.5cm) You can use any yarn type really, but a cotton blend is best for a practical placemat that can be machine washed and dried.
