Orlock Shawl

Check out my other shaw/wrap designs [here][1] The Orlock Shawl is worked side to side to form a shallow crescent shape. It is named after Orlock Point on the Down Coastline in N. Ireland and the colour name of the yarn from Irish Artisan Yarns. The body is worked in garter stitch with a pretty lace border emulating the waves on the coastline. This is worked at the same time as the body of the shawl. The pattern has full written instruction with stitch counts. The pattern is fully charted. There are notes included on how to adjust the size of the shawl and make the most of the yarn you have. Finished Measurements: Measurements taken after blocking. Wingspan 70 inches (178 cm) Depth at widest point 11.5 inches (29 cm) Gauge: 24 sts x 36 rows per 4 inches (10 cm) in garter stitch using 3.75 mm (US 5) needle blocked (While gauge is not vital in this pattern it will alter the amount of yarn needed.)
