The shawl starts from a tip in the lace section and is worked sideways to the desired length - you can make it any size you want by working fewer or more pattern repeats.* **Size** Wingspan: 150 cm/60 in Depth at the widest point: 60 cm/24 in Size is easy to modify - simply work in pattern to the desired length. **Gauge** (blocked) Stockinette stitch: 20 sts and 32 rows = 10 cm/4 in, with larger needle Lace panel: one 52-stitch and 24-row pattern repeat is 24 cm/9.5 in wide and 9 cm/3.5 in tall, with larger needle *Gauge is not crucial for this project, but it will affect yardage and finished size if different from above.* **Yarn** 700 meters/770 yds of fingering weight merino wool with good stitch definition.
