Knitted from the top down, the back yoke is worked first into two separate panels to create a slit opening, with short rows used at the same time to shape the back neck and shoulders. Once the slit is complete, the two panels are joined to continue the back yoke. Stitches are then picked up along the back yoke for the fronts, and additional short rows are worked to shape the front shoulders. Once both yokes are completed, the front and back sections are joined and the body is worked flat to the hem, then seamed along one side. Stitches are picked up around the neckline, and an attached I-cord edging is worked to finish the neck opening neatly. Finally, stitches are picked up around the armholes to work the sleeves. The sleeve caps are shaped using short rows, after which the sleeves are worked flat and then seamed. Blouse has approx. 7-11 cm / 2.7-4.3 inches of intended positive ease at the bust area.
