Banana Slug Scarf

This pattern is very flexible and customizable. It is not important to reach the exact gauge. I recommend using DK/Worsted weight yarn in any fiber. I used a cotton/acrylic blend. I used approx 70 grams of yellow yarn (bought two 50-gram balls) and 35 grams (bought one 50-gram ball) of black yarn. If following my notes exactly, the scarf will be 3" wide x 71" long. At any point, you can make the scarf shorter by cutting out a section of the chart. The pattern follows a chart. It starts with increases and decreases and ends with decreases. There are instructions explaining how to increase and decrease, but the exact instructions row-by-row are not written out. You are expected to increase/decrease by referring to the points on the chart. There is a detailed video tutorial for how I do the color changes and spots. It's a combination of intarsia and carrying the yarn under the row. This method is not required, but it is my preference for clean lines and fewer ends to weave in. Other than color changes, it is very beginner-friendly.
