The Marshmallow Beanie

The Marshmallow Beanie is a soft, cosy beanie with a deep folded ribbed brim, a little textured detail through the body, and a simple spiral crown. It is knitted in the round from the brim up, holding a 12-ply mohair together with a DK or 8-ply wool. The combination makes a beautifully warm fabric without it feeling too heavy, and the slipped-stitch details add just enough texture without making the pattern complicated. The pattern includes two adult sizes: M: to fit a head circumference of approximately 54–56 cm L: to fit a head circumference of approximately 58–60 cm The finished height is approximately 24 cm. Gauge 11 stitches × 20 rounds = 10 cm in stockinette, measured after blocking, with both yarns held together. Gauge matters for both the fit and the yarn quantities, so it is worth checking before you begin. Mohair can also relax with washing and wear, which means the beanie may feel slightly snug at first.
