Rydal Socks

The Rydal Socks are worked from the cuff down, finishing with the toes. They are started with a cuff worked in single ribbing, followed by the leg worked in the lace pattern. The heel flaps are worked with a reinforced heel. The socks are designed to be worked in the round, using the magic loop method. However, they can be adapted to your preferred method of sock knitting. Yarn: 100g of fingering weight yarn suitable for socks. Sample knit in Sewrella Yarn Nylon Sock (75% Superwash Merino, 25% Nylon) Needles: US 1/2.25mm circular needle with a cable long enough for working magic loop. Notions: Tapestry needle for weaving in ends Gauge: 32 stitches = 10 cm/ 4 inches 1 (2) 3 (4) 5 - Size one designed for actual foot circumference of roughly 7-7.5 in, size two for roughly 8-8.5in, size three for roughly 8.5-9in, size four for 9-9.5in, and size five for roughly 10-10.5inches. I recommended 10-15% negative ease for socks, so knit a size that is 10-15% smaller than your actual foot circumference. Additional sizes can be achieved by changing needle sizes - please see table in pattern. Measure foot circumference at the widest part of your foot.
