Corn Moon Socks

This is the next in my series of [New Moon Socks][1] - a series of 13 sock designs inspired by the names used for the New Moon throughout the year in the Farmers Almanac. Worked toe-up I won't pretend that these unisex cabled socks are the quickest to knit but they give such a pretty effect I am willing to forgive them. A series of small 1/1 cables also gives you plenty of time to practice cabling without a needle. If you have ever wanted to learn this super handy technique this project will be perfect for that - and it really speeds up the cabling process. The pattern is written with a standard short row heel for comfort and ease but is easily adapted if you wanted to use your preferred short row method such as the Fish Lips Kiss heel.
