One of my favorite things about this pattern is that you only need one ball of yarn to make the bandana. You can use fingering, DK or worsted-weight yarn, so it’s also a great project for using yarn you already have at home. Wear it as a traditional hair bandana, tie it around your neck as a lightweight scarf, or add more pattern repeats to make a larger hip scarf. Worsted-weight yarn will make the finished bandana feel a little heavier when worn over your head, but it works beautifully as a scarf. You could also use wool to create a cozy version for autumn or winter. Once you get into the repeat, the flowers begin to appear quickly, making this such an enjoyable project to work on.
