Lizard on a Beach Bag Overlay Mosaic Crochet Pattern by Pilgrim Crafted A tote bag for all my fellow lizard-lovers. This bag is an advanced difficulty, combining overlay mosaic techniques with additional regular crochet stitches. The pattern is worked in the round, and the yarns carried up the inside of the bag. Some sewing is required for attaching the handles and sewing a fabric lining (a sewing machine is optional but recommended). This pattern provides both written and chart instructions for the base and main body of the bag. Written instructions and photos are provided for the crochet edging of the bag, crochet handles, and fabric lining. Each crochet stitch used in the pattern also has a short video tutorial. You will need: Fingering weight yarn in 3 colours. I have used Scheepjes Whirlette for all three colours: 130g Bitter Coffee (883) - Dark brown for lizard body 150g Almond Butter (886) - Beige for beach 10g Chestnut (891) - Mid brown for lizard highlights Additional 40g Bitter Coffee (883) - Bag handles 2.5mm hook darning needle stitch markers fabric and stabiliser for lining (optional - amount determined when bag complete) sewing machine (optional but highly recommended if lining) plastic for base (optional - size determined when bag complete) The Lizard on a Beach Bag is 34.5cm tall x 39.5cm wide, and the base is 33cm wide x 6.5cm.
