> Description Carrot Patch Sweater is an oversized colorwork sweater featuring a unique all-over carrot motif worked with two contrasting colors on a solid background. The sweater is knitted holding one strand of fingering-weight yarn together with one strand of mohair, creating a soft, lightweight fabric with a gentle halo. Designed with 15–25 cm (6–10 in) of positive ease, it has a relaxed, feminine silhouette. Knit seamlessly from the top down, this sweater lets you try it on as you go to achieve the perfect fit. The pattern is available in 10 adult sizes, and each size includes its own dedicated chart for easy knitting. > Construction The garment is worked from the back. Begin by shaping the shoulders with short rows. Next, pick up and knit stitches along the left shoulder and work the left front. Repeat these steps in mirror image for the right front. Once the neckline shaping is complete, cast on stitches at the center front, join the fronts to the back, and continue working the body in the round, following the chart for your size. Finish the body with a ribbed hem. The neckband is worked in ribbing. For the sleeves, pick up and knit stitches around each armhole, work the sleeves in the round according to the chart, and finish with ribbed cuffs. This sweater is worked in stranded colorwork throughout.
