Its plumage —grey, cream, and orange— is translated into the design through color changes and a combination of textures. The shawl is worked flat, from tip to tip, and shaped with centered double decreases along the central spine. The pattern includes two versions: a short version and a long version. The short version follows the same construction as the long version but stops earlier, resulting in a narrower and shorter piece.
