Gable shawl

The Gable shawl is a small kerchief designed to be worn multiple ways. It is worked from one tip to the other, beginning with increases on every right- side row until the shawl reaches its full width. Decreases then shape the fabric back down to the opposite tip. The size can easily be adjusted by adding additional pattern repeats for a larger shawl. SIZE 1 (2) Length: 125 (175) cm / 49.25 (68.75) inches. Width: 33 (45) cm / 13 (17.75) inches. YARN 220 (440) m / 245 (490) yards of fingering- weight yarn and 220 (440) m / 245 (490) yards of lace-weight yarn, or 220 (440) m / 245 (490) yards DK- or worsted-weight yarn. Blue sample (size 1): 1 skein of Camellia Fiber Company Serene Merino Fingering (100% merino; 400 meters / 438 yards per 100 g), shown in the colorway Blue Iris, and 1 skein of Camellia Fiber Company CFC Mohair + Silk Lace (64% kid mohair, 36% silk; 419 m / 459 yards per 50 g), shown in the colorway Blue Iris. Off-white sample (size 1): 2 skeins of Ampersand Garamond Worsted (100% Corriedale; 200 m / 220 yards per 100g), shown in the colorway Egret. Gray sample (size 2): 2 skeins of mYak Tibetan Cloud (100% Tibetan sheep wool; 300 m / 324 yards per 100 g), shown in the colorway Feather Grey. NEEDLES 4 mm / US 6 circular needle with a cable length of at least 60 cm / 24 inches. GAUGE 30 sts (1 outlined pattern repeat) = 12 cm / 4.75 inches. 25 sts and 26 rounds = 10 cm / 4 inches of cable pattern, after blocking.
