The Shift collar is worked seamlessly from the top down, beginning at the back of the neck before stitches are picked up for the shoulders and continued into the front. The back is kept straight and structured, while the front narrows gently toward the ribbed edge, allowing the collar to sit cleanly and comfortably around the neck. To highlight the strong lines of the cable work, solid or lightly tonal yarns are recommended. Knit in a single strand of DK-weight yarn for crisp definition, or pair fingering-weight yarn with mohair, suri alpaca, or cashmere for added softness and a subtle halo. The result is a refined, architectural layer that feels both purposeful and wearable. SIZE One size Total length from shoulder to bottom: 29 cm / 11.5 inches. Width at shoulders: 33 cm / 13 inches. YARN 450 m / 490 yards of fingering-weight yarn and 450 m / 490 yards of lace-weight yarn such as silk mohair or 450 m / 490 yards of DK-weight yarn.
