Floor Turtle Cotton Mop

A floor turtle is an adorable, reusable fabric foot mop designed to clean up small spills, pet water drips, and everyday splashes off the floor without having to bend over. Simply drop it on the floor, place your foot on its back, and slide it around to wipe up the mess. When the turtle gets dirty, you can just toss it in the washing machine and dryer. This is a pattern for my version of a floor turtle. I do recommend using 100% cotton yarn as it is more durable, absorbent and easier to clean than many alternatives. I have used weight 3 and weight 4 yarns, both with my 4.5 mm hook and had successful outcomes. My center cloth area measured 8.5"x6.5". Total measurements are 11"x8" I do use 10-12 mm safety eyes on mine, but you could easily create your own. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out!!
