Damask Wrap

The corrected amounts are below, and also available if you download the latest version of the pattern (June 3, 2026)* A knitted patchwork wrap of roses, geums and oak leaves, where stranded colourwork and Swiss darning create layered, damask-inspired texture. My Damask Wrap design takes inspiration from flowers and leaves throughout the seasons, reflecting the richness and intricacy of damask fabrics. I use two of my favourite knitting and embroidery techniques — stranded colourwork and Swiss darning — to create rhythmic repeats of beautiful motifs. This patchwork wrap is knitted section by section, then sewn together with mattress stitch, making it ideal for using yarns from your stash or for treating yourself to a special skein that you’ve had your eye on but haven’t been quite sure what to do with. As long as you knit with yarns of a similar weight and texture, and keep an eye on your tension, you’ll achieve a beautiful finish. **NEEDLES & ACCESSORIES** 3.5mm (US 4) straight needles 3.5mm (US E-4) crochet hook Tapestry needle for embroidery **SIZES** Finished wrap approx 165cm x 33cm / 65in x 13in without tassels Finished wrap approx 171cm x 33cm / 67.25in x 13in with tassels Made up of 18 knitted full squares and 4 edging strips.
