The picnic bandana uses stranded/fair isle knitting with an i-cord tie and the choice of an i-cord or a crochet trim. The pattern begins at the base of the triangle and decreases to create the bandana shape. The crochet trim is added after the body of the bandana is completed, and the i-cord trim is worked with the body of the bandana. The tie for the bandana is worked last and attached to the cast on edge. This gauge can easily be adjusted thus this pattern is a great stash buster!
