Hazelnut Shawl

> To celebrate the pattern launch, the > shawl is 20% off until Monday, 25 > May, no code needed. **DESCRIPTION** The lace pattern of subtle triangles is inspired by the form of hazelnuts, translating their natural geometry into a soft, tactile knit. The shawl is worked seamlessly in a dedicated lace pattern, beginning at the bottom tip and working back and forth across the full width towards the top edge. Increases are worked on nearly every row until the shawl reaches the desired width. Simultaneously, both the right and left edges are worked as a slipped stitch combined with a yarnover to create a neat and delicate border. The top edge is finished with a basic knitted bind off. **ESTIMATED YARN** 1 skein of Le Petit Lambswool Biches & Bûches (100% lambswool, 50 g/ 1.76 oz = approx. 248 m/ 270 yds) in the colourway Summer Blue or Medium Red Grey, or 218 m/ 240 yds of fingering-weight yarn (given consumption includes the amount for the swatch and approx. a 10% reserve). **SUGGESTED NEEDLES** 3 mm (US2.5) circular needles 80 cm/ 32". **GAUGE** 23 sts and 40 rows = 10 cm/ 4" in pattern (chart A) on 3 mm (US2.5) needles, after blocking. **NOTIONS** 16 stitch markers, a tapestry needle, scissors. **TECHNIQUES** basic knitted BO, decreases (k2tog, p2tog, ssk), increases (m1l, m1lp, m1r, m1rp, yo), knitting flat, long-tail CO, reading charts, slipping stitches (sl1 wyib, sl1 wyif).
