Everything about it felt wild and tangled, yet there was still some kind of ancient order hidden within it. I simply opened my charting program and started drawing leaves wherever my hand wanted to take them — and from that, the Ivy Pullover motif was born. I knew from the beginning that I wanted variegated leaves, shades that would look different in bright sunlight than they would in shadow or soft dusk light. At my local yarn shop, I found the perfect colors to bring that vision to life. After that, all that remained was shaping the idea into a pullover.
