Woolly Wol Blanket

Welcome to the Woolly Wol Blanket Pattern, a pattern specially designed to learn new knitting skills, as the squares progress from easy to more difficult. The pattern assumes you know basic cast-on, knit, purl and cast-off and builds on those skills to learn increases, decreases, cables, lace and bead knitting. There are 7 different squares in total, which are each knitted in 6 different colours. The pattern takes you on a whole knitting journey. You can choose to knit the small size which consists of 42 squares made from 6 balls of Alafosslopi or the large size which consists of 84 squares made from 12 balls of Alafosslopi. The pattern is brought to you by Irene from Woolly Wol who offers knitting workshops, bespoke 1:2:1 knitting support and who runs an online wool shop. The pattern is designed for Alafosslopi, an authentic 100% Icelandic wool, and is knitted on 6-mm knitting needles. Each square in the blanket measures 15 cm by 15 cm, after washing and blocking. Everything you need to do is explained! In addition to your 6-mm needles, you will need a cable needle, a very fine crochet hook and a wool sewing needle.
