Cottage Hearts Quilt

The Cottage Hearts Quilt is a pieced, patchwork garter blanket, with an i-cord edge, that is made by knitting columns of hearts that you join as you go to the previous column, creating a continuous fabric. The hearts are formed by increases and decreases, and the i-cord edge is done in such a way that you never have to do a long cast on or bind off. The instructions are both written and in charts (and a little cheat sheet once you get into the rhythm of it) and there is a full schematic to mark out how large your blanket will be, and where you would like to place colors. There is also a chart provided (in the pictures above) about that will tell you how much yarn you need for each size in sock, DK, and worsted weight yarns.
