Worked in rhythmic garter stitch, its delicate eyelets are scattered like points of light against a darkening sky. It is a piece born of nostalgia, warm, glowy, and reminiscent of evenings where the air still holds the day’s heat and fireflies and lanterns flicker in the distance. It is a shawl made of quiet light and the name comes from *noor*, meaning “light.” **Noori** is worked on the bias in an asymmetrical triangular shape using two contrasting colors. Repeats are short, easy to memorize, and use only one color at a time. No purling required! I promise you’ll enjoy knitting it. The pattern is written to use most of two skeins of yarn, but the size is easily adjustable by adding or removing repeats (you’ll need more yarn if you go bigger).
