Zinnia Sweater

The Zinnia Sweater is a timeless piece inspired by the natural geometry of one of my favorite flowers: the Zinnia Pompón. For this design, I chose simple textures to ensure that the star of the show is the petal work on the yoke, which mimics the rustic and perfect structure of the flower. It is an incredibly fun project and, believe it or not, very intuitive to crochet. Watching the layers of petals take shape round after round makes it one of those addictive projects—the kind where you don’t even realize you've finished until you're at the very end!. This design is graded with intentional positive ease, ranging from 7–12 cm for smaller sizes and 3–9 cm for larger sizes. **Yarn**: DK weight (#3, Light). I used New Ultrasoft by Katia (50% acrylic, 50% polyamide; 120 m / 131 yds per 50 g) in colorway Ciruela 88. **Yardage**: Between 450 g to 850 g depending on the size. **Hook**: 4.5 mm (or size needed to obtain gauge). **Gauge**: 17 sts and 14 rows = 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 in) unblocked, worked in Hdc (Half double crochet) with a 4.5 mm hook. --- El Sweater Zinnia es una prenda atemporal inspirada en la geometría natural de una de mis flores favoritas: la Zinnia Pompón. Para este diseño, elegí texturas simples que permiten que el verdadero protagonista sea el trabajo de pétalos del canesú, el cual imita la estructura rústica y perfecta de la flor. Es un proyecto sumamente entretenido y, aunque no lo creas, muy intuitivo de tejer. Yo usé New Ultrasoft de Katia (50% acrílico y 50% poliamida, 120 metros en 50 gramos). Color Ciruela 88. **Consumo de hilado**: entre 450 g a 850 g según la talla. **Crochet**: 4.5 mm (o el necesario para alcanzar la muestra de tensión) **Muestra de tensión:** 17 puntos y 14 filas en 10x10 cm (4x4 in) sin bloquear, muestra realizada en Punto medio alto (Pma) y crochet 4.5mm.
