The sweater in the pictures is the short-sleeve version summer top, made with 100% cotton. The yarn amounts are shown for this short sleeve version. It is possible to make this top as a pullover sweater for colder weather, using different yarn, such as acrylic or wool, as long as it is DK weight and you can make gauge. You can also make it with longer sleeves; the pattern includes instructions for two types of long sleeves: straight and tapered. The design itself has two versions, one with larger, and one with smaller pawprints in between the cat motifs. The XS and S sizes can only be made with the small pawprints. All other sizes have a choice, and the pattern includes instructions for both size pawprints. The smaller pawprint looks more subtle, more delicate, but it can be difficult to see if there is not enough contrast between the Color A and Color B yarn, so consider your yarn colors when you make your choice. For the short sleeve version, depending on size, you would need approx. 760-1230 yards of Color A (base color), and 230-370 yards of Color B (motif color).
