The Sophie-Inspired Scarf

The Sophie-Inspired Scarf is exactly what the name suggests, my own version of the Sophie Scarf! This basic pattern is best for advanced beginners, as there is some terminology used that those just starting out may not know yet, but it’s not complicated at all technique-wise. There is a downloadable pdf available for purchase that is formatted a little bit better than the website if you prefer. You can use any yarn and needle size you like, but I used approximately 70 grams of Coboo by Lion Brand and 16 inch 4mm circular needles. This scarf has the recognizable I-cord edge and simple garter stitch that everyone knows and loves. This is a one-size pattern, though it’s easily customizable by swapping out the needle size and yarn weight, as well as changing when you start/stop the increases/decreases. Disclaimer!!! This is NOT a direct copy of the Sophie Scarf, though it is meant to mimic it and I just wanted to put something similar out there for free. To make this pattern, I took heavy inspiration from the Sophie Scarf as well as The Simple Thing by Melina Brell. I also used heavy inspiration from what I’ve heard about the pattern as well as what I know about the pattern, but I’ve never made the Sophie Scarf myself.
