This design features a beautifully structured stitch pattern that is fully reversible, it adds both depth and squishiness to the fabric. The textured stitch pattern reminded me of the classic waffle texture—hence the name! This is the kind of scarf I envision grabbing when I want to layer up for a crisp morning walk, a coffee run, or when I just want to add a little extra something to my outfit. The scarf is knitted using only knits and purls and you’ll quickly be able to memorize the sequence. The elegant I-cord edges give the scarf a polished finish and the rhythmic stitches make for an engaging yet relaxing knit. **Finished measurements:** Length from tip to tip: Approx. 150 cm / 59”. Widest part of scarf: Approx. 18.5 cm / 7.25”. **Gauge:** 21 sts x 29 rows/rnds = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4” in Sample stitch on 3.5 mm / US 4 needles flat, after blocking. *Note: Since this is an accessory, getting the exact gauge isn’t critical.
