9 Point V-Stitch Round Star Ripple Afghan

If you're looking for an easy blanket pattern that isn't a yarn eater, this is it. This 9-Point V-Stitch Round Star Ripple Crochet Blanket works up into a lightweight blanket and is perfect for scrap yarn projects. This blanket pattern is worked from the center outward. While the finished blanket looks intricate, the construction is surprisingly simple. After the first five setup rounds, the pattern settles into an easy two-round repeat. I made my Sample Blanket using a J hook with 24 Rounds. It weighs 16 oz and measures 45 inches from peak to peak. I used Worsted Weight yarn, but I'm sure you can use DK or bulky yarn with the appropriate-sized hook. The stitches used are simple and beginner-friendly, mainly double crochet and chain stitches.
