This new Mitered square makes a great coaster for your glass of fresh lemonade or your afternoon cup of coffee or tea. It also makes for a pretty washcloth, as you can see in the photos... A soft organic cotton is the perfect yarn for this and there are great color combinations available at **[Yarnz2go][1]**. Knitted in the round it decreases towards the middle which gets a pretty circular stitch treatment with the main color yarn at the very end, a nice accent indeed. The final dimensions are 9" by 9". The pattern is fully written. **Yarn** Two skeins of organic cotton, 125 yards each in a DK weight which is enough to make a couple of squares in two contrasting colors. Knit kits at **[Yarnz2go][2]** **Notions needed** US size 4 (3.5 mm) circular needle 16" (41cm) in length. 4 Stitch markers. Tapestry needle for finishing. **Gauge:** 19 sts and 36 rows in 4" of garter stitch, counting 18 ridges. **Techniques applied:** Knitting in the round, changing colors leaving both yarns attached in the back throughout, decreasing, binding off, weaving in ends, stitching around the middle, blocking. **Enjoy the knit and share photos of your finished projects on a project page!
