Callicore Butterfly

Make your own crocheted Callicore Butterfly! The applications for this project can be from hair accessories to decoration to little gift favors! This pdf comes with a step by step pattern for each part of the butterfly, pictures, and in depth assembly instructions. While the instructions are specially for what the top of some Callicore butterflies look like, you can easily adapt it to fit any design you want. This is an intermediate project. Only a basic knowledge of crocheting in the round is necessary, but color changes can be tricky due to high frequency. You must be able to do a single crochet, half double crochet, increase, decrease, chain, and slip stitch. You will need thread yarn (though any kind of yarn works perfectly well!) in 3 colors. Optionally you might want a small piece of wire to help support the butterfly's body.
