Eighty-Eight Butterfly

Make your own crocheted Eighty-Eight Butterfly! The applications for this project can be from hair accessories to decoration to little gift favors! This pdf comes with a step by step pattern for each part of the butterfly, pictures, and in depth assembly instructions. While the instructions are specially for a eighty-eight butterfly, you can easily adapt it to fit any design you want. This is a beginner-intermediate project. Only a basic knowledge of crocheting in the round is necessary. You must be able to do a single crochet, double crochet, increase, and decrease. You will need thread yarn (though any kind of yarn works perfectly well!) in 3 colors. Optionally you might want a small piece of wire to help support the butterfly's body.
