Icicle Hat

This pattern is for a Tunisian Crochet Hat.  The **Icicle hat** is an intermediate tunisian crochet hat that is worked flat with short rows. Not Tunisian hook needed. This pattern can be purchased as part of the [**Year of Hats Set**][1] [1]: https://payhip.com/b/DPrzk **Materials** **Yarn**: 300 yards (275m) of DK weight yarn Ribbing requires 60 yards (55m). Each section of color requires 25 yds (23m). Note: You’ll need a new strand for each section. If repeating colors, you’ll need to create 25 yd (23m) balls for each section. Sample used Lolabean Yarn Co Mung Bean (80/20/20 Merino/Yak/Silk, 231 yds/100g) Tan/Taupe: Ribbing and even numbered colors. Gold- Color 1 & Color 7. Blue- Color 3 & Color 9. Fuchsia- Color 5 & Color 11. **Hook**: 6.5 mm (K) crochet hook that can hold 10 stitches. **Size**:  Comes in 4 adult sizes XS/S/M/L **Skill level- Intermediate** Hat is worked from the bottom up. The ribbing is worked first with short rows then the body of the hat is picked up along the edge of the ribbing and worked to the top. Basic knowledge of tunisian crochet is assumed (forward pass/return pass etc). Written instructions.
