Finished brim circumference: 48cm / 18¾" **Yarn:** The Uncommon Thread Everyday Sport (sportweight; 100% superwash Merino wool; 300m / 330yds per 100g skein) Beret: Shade: Nutcracker; 1 skein Beanie: Shade: Attic Room; 1 skein OR Beret: approx. 240m / 261yds of sportweight yarn Beanie: approx. 220m / 240yds of sportweight yarn **Gauge:** 19 sts & 22 rows = 10cm / 4" in yo sl st blo, worked in flat on 3.5mm hook/ US E after blocking. 1 motif measures 12cm / 4¾" wide and 14cm / 5½" tall (excluding ribbing). **Hooks:** 3.5 mm / US E crochet hook Always use a hook size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking. **Notions:** tapestry needle. **Notes:** Aureole is made up of 6 attached wedges for the beret option and 4 attached wedges for the beanie option, crocheted lengthwise from the brim to the crown. The leaf motif is shaped with short rows in crochet Brioche stitch, and the brim edge is worked in crochet ribbing. One seam closes the hat and crown.
