Woolly Mousie Mousie

Mousie Mousie is about 15cm (6in) high and 8cm (3 1/4 in) wide (excluding tail), and is knitted in stocking stitch on straight needles, the body is worked flat following a simple chart and stitched together. The tail is knitted in the round using 3 dpns, and the base and ears are knitted flat following simple charts, and all are stitched onto the body. Simple duplicate stitches are used for Mousie’s smile and French Knots are used for Mousie’s eyes. This particular Mousie Mousie is knitted in two contrasting colours of Ullcentrum’s 2 ply pure wool yarn (Sport Weight, 300 meters per 100 grams), which is held double, with very tiny amounts of colour for the mouth and eyes. However, any weight of yarn can be used with these instructions – just make sure that you follow the suggested tension and are happy with a larger or smaller finished toy.
