**THE BUDDHA BLANKET** > **please note, the currency is in danish kroner - it will be converted to your currency during checkout >** > > > > > > > > ***For help and inspiration, feel free to join my Facebook group [mhl crochet > designs][1]*** * **Technique:** Overlay mosaic crochet. * **Stitches:** All though it might look difficult, overlay mosaic crochet consists of basic sc and dc stitches, and is crocheted 1 row and 1 color at a time, so you will not be carrying any yarn. * **Pattern instructions:** The pattern comes with **full** written instructions and charts, including a full chart for tablet/pc viewing, and print charts created especially for printing. * **Tutorial:** In a seperate file, you will find my full picture tutorial of the overlay mosaic crochet technique with a small sample pattern. If you are new to the technique, this will teach you everything you need to know to make this blanket. * **Languages** The pattern is available in English (US terms), and German. * **Yarn:** For my version, I have used Scheepjes Mega Whirl x 1 (666g/2998m) "Noctura". Scheepjes whirlette x 10 (100g/455m) "Liquorice", and Scheepjes whirlette x 1 (100g/455m) "ice". You can substitute the Mega Whirl with 3 Scheepjes whirl (225g/1000m), or 3 of the other whirl variants. * **Hooks** 2.75 for the blanket and 2.5 for the border. You should, however, use the hooks that suits your tension for this yarn. If you usually use a hook 3.00, this will be fine. Should you run out of yarn, you can elongate your last color with an extra whirlette, that fits the last color of your Mega whirl or Whirl. * **Size:** With the reccomended yarn and hook, the finished size will be approximately 185 cm x 115 cm. This can vary slightly with hook size and tension.
