Cerberus

Play gentle music whilst you crochet a houndstooth stitch shawl to reveal the fluffier side of Cerberus. Cerberus had three heads; you can choose between three shawls. Will you make the deep triangle shawl? The longer, shallower, scarf-like shawl? Or, a skinny necktie?! An easy, faux i-cord edging is worked around the outside of each design to enclose the houndstooth stitches of the main body and add extra balance. Deep Shawl (pink & purple) Along Avec Anna, Merino, 100% superwash merino (200m/219yds/50g). 4 balls in Amethyste (Yarn A) and 3 balls in Tourmaline (Yarn B). Along Avec Anna, Silk Mohair, 72% fine kid mohair, 28% mulberry silk (210m/230yds/25g). 4 balls in Amethyste (YA) and 3 balls in Tourmaline (YB) Shallow Shawl (green) Yarnsmiths Merino Sock, 75% wool, 25% nylon (400m/437yds/100g). 2 skeins in Leafy Green (Yarn A). Skinny Cerberus (brown & neon yellow) Three sock weight yarns of deep stash! All likely to be 75% wool, 25% nylon (400m/437yds/100g). 100m/110yds/25g of each. Drops Brushed Alpaca Silk, 23% silk, 77% alpaca (140m/153yds/25g)1 ball in Chocolate (YA). Drops Kid Silk, 75% mohair, 25% silk (210m/230yd/25g). 1 ball in Powder (YB). Angel by Permin, 70% mohair, 30% silk (210m/230yds/25g). 1 ball in Neon Yellow (YC). **Deep Shawl** Wingspan: 168cm / 66 in. Depth in center: 70cm /27.5 in. **Shallow Shawl** Wingspan: 222cm / 87.5 in. Depth in center: 38cm / 15 in. **Skinny Shawl** Wingspan:129cm / 50.75in. Depth in center: 16cm / 6.25in. The patterns use sock weight yarn held with mohair but you can use any yarn weight you like. It looks great in sport weight or DK yarns without the fluff! The main pattern is worked sideways, tip to tip, and the edging is then worked directly onto and around the main body in a continuous spiral. Charts for each shawl are included.
