Be Good hat

**Cast on the “BE GOOD” hat…** Of course, it’s always good to be GOOD and to do the right thing, even when it’s hard. Either way, the message works as a daily reminder to be your best, especially these days.... This is also a tribute to Renee Good, a mother of three, sadly killed by ICE in 2026. The pattern will be a forever free download. The hat is knitted in the round from the bottom up starting with a ribbed edge, then gets worked in simple knits, decreased towards the crown, which gets cinched for a bit of a poofy look. Once knitted, it gets the words “BE GOOD” top stitched with a contrasting color. I like the skinny letters here and the fact that I don’t have to run a second color along to knit the letters. For sizes S-20"/M-21"/L-22" in ribbed circumference, the body is a bit wider for comfort. The pattern is fully written and there are charts for the letters. **Yarn used** C1- One Easy Care DK cake, 272 yards/100 grams in a #3 DK weight anti pilling, washable soft acrylic yarn for all sizes. C2- A mini skein for the top stitching, 12 yards of the same yarn in a contrasting color.
