The “kissin' kitties” of this shorty ankle sock design are worked using stranded knitting with 2 contrasting colors. The top-down design uses the integrated Elaine’s Happy Heel design, which allows you to knit the short ankle portion of the sock….work the heel (without any “short rows”!) … and then return to knitting the instep/foot/toe to complete the sock.
