Svala Slipover

The Svala Slipover was part of Tante Grøn’s Advent calendar in 2025. It is an exciting project that grows steadily on the needles and has a simple look, which makes it easy to style all year round. The boxy fit makes it versatile over shirts, dresses, and thin tops. The Svala Slipover is knitted from the bottom up. First, a double rib hem is worked, then the body is knitted in the round on a circular needle. After that, the work is divided into front and back, which are knitted flat separately, and finally the shoulder seams are sewn together. To finish, stitches are picked up along the neckline and armholes, where a double rib edge is worked. The measurements of the finished slipover are a bust circumference of approx. 106 (113) 128 (142) cm and a length of approx. 50 (52) 53 (56) cm. The design is very versatile in terms of both size and fit, and it is recommended that you choose the size that gives you the look you want.
