Shawl Collar Scarf

This fun-to-knit fabric starts with elongated stitches that are created by wrapping the yarn multiple times around the needle for each knit stitch. These extra wraps are subsequently dropped creating super long stitches are manipulated into little squares that resemble tiny shawl collars. The sample is knitted in Madeline Tosh DK. The yarn’s high stitch definition and springiness make it the perfect vehicle for this stitch. But feel free to use any DK or light worsted yarn in a tonal or self-striping colorway.
