Lust for Life Cardigan

**Materials & Tools:** - Fingering weight yarn (375m/100gr) - Silk mohair (420m/50gr) - 6 mm/ US 10 circular needle (or size to give you correct gauge) and DPN’s for sleeves - 5.5mm/US 9 circular needle and DPN’s for ribbing - Cable needle - Tapestry needle - Buttons (I have used 6 for my cropped version) **Shown in:** Fortuna Lammeull (375m/100gr) Fortuna Silkefluff (420m/100gr) In the colour Santa Barbara **Sizes:** 1 (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7) **Chest circumference (cm)** 90 (97, 104, 114, 132, 156, 170) **Yardage in metres:** 700 (740, 780, 830, 900, 950, 1000) You need the recommended yardage for both yarns since you’re holding two yarns together. Yardage is for a cropped version with full length sleeves, if you want to knit a longer version you need more yarn. **Gauge:** 17 x 23= 10 cm (4 inches) in stockinette after blocking Skills needed: Provisional cast on, knit, purl, slip stitches, cables, German short rows, grafting stitches together. **Pattern notes:** The yoke is worked flat using short rows to create a curved cabled band. You can choose between 3 different yoke depths, all three fit all the different sizes of the sweater. Due to the design of the yoke the larger sizes end up having a rather large circumference of the neckline. Thus a collar band may be added to the larger sizes if you want one, but not to the smaller sizes. If you knit one of the larger sizes and like a dropped shoulder, you just omit the collar band. The pattern has only one length for body and sleeves, since people do not tend to get taller when they need to knit a sweater with a larger bust circumference.
