Being rather busty myself, I was always disappointed by the bulky look of plus-size knits under the arms. I wanted a cardigan with a tidy underarm-to-sleeve line and a sleeker, less bulky silhouette. This idea inspired the creation of this pattern. Featuring a modest silhouette that isn't overly fussy, this cardigan suits various body shapes and is ideal for easy, everyday styling. Begin by knitting the back, then pick up stitches to form the front panels, and continue by picking up the sleeve stitches to complete the body. After working the sleeves and button bands, finish with a folded neck band. Featuring a slip-stitch pattern, this design employs knits and purls, shaping with increases and decreases, and I-Cord Bind Off. The instructions are fully written, with no charts included. Contrast colors can be added at the hem and sleeve cuffs for an added accent, though this is entirely optional. The cardigan works just as well in a single color. Customize the piece however you like.
