The Alma Scarf are inspired by the Tudor court of Henry VIII and Hilary Mantel's novels *Wolf Hall, Bring Up the Bodies,* and *The Mirror and the Light.* The scarf is knit flat, from point-to-point. The design features a panel of seed stitches framed by panels of 1-by-1 cables, and I-cord edges. The pattern includes charted instructions. The finished scarf should be long enough to wrap around your neck once and tie in the front. **Yarn** Two 100-gram skeins of sport weight yarn. *Suggested yarn: Purl Soho Season Alpaca base. Sample is knit in the colorway Raw Sienna.* *Several of my test knitters substituted a range of light-DK and heavy-fingering weight yarns.* **Suggested Needle Size** US 7 (4.5 mm) needle **Gauge** 20 stitches x 32 rows = 4 inches knit flat after blocking. **Sizing** One size.
