First you knit in the round up to the armhole, and then the upper part of back and front pieces are worked separately, back and forth. A distinctive feature of this design is the shoulder, as it consists of the meeting between the ribbing in armhole- and neckline. The edges are beautiful rounded, using the Italian technique for cast-on and bind-off. These can be omitted if you don’t feel for nerdy details.
