Snowy Pines

In January after a busy holiday season, I often feel inspired to make peaceful winter ornaments. This year while looking out at the snowy, Minnesotan landscape, I thought a tranquil, snowy pine would be perfect! My pines are knit completely in the round on dpns. Bobbles make for a pretty and simple snow trim. They are knit with worsted and sock yarn held together; green and white worsted for the main colors and a thinner white sock strand held double (to suggest a slight dusting of snow). Their bottoms are left open so that they can stand independently. These pines are a fun, wintery knit.
